The Varian 959 Mass Spectrometer Helium Leak Detector is a portable unit that comes with a cart. It is available with or without a diffusion pump. It does not require liquid nitrogen, and can detect leaks into the minus ten range. It has a digital display. The Varian 959 provides automatic leak detection. The roughing pump is located on a cart and sits below the leak detector.
It has a front control panel and rear I/O and power panel. It has a 2 second electronic response time. It can be used with a rotary vane pump or dry scroll pump. Weight is 22.7 kg (50 lbs).
